WHAT IT IS
The Foundation of Therapeutic Relaxation
Swedish massage is one of the most widely recognized and commonly requested massage techniques in the world. It incorporates long, flowing strokes, gentle circular movements, and firm kneading to relax the muscles and increase oxygen flow throughout the body.
By enhancing the circulation of both blood and lymph, Swedish massage supports the natural cleansing and nourishment of soft tissues — including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and skin. A light lotion or massage oil is used to ensure smooth, fluid movements and reduce friction throughout the session.
Sessions are typically offered as a full-body treatment, but can be customized to focus on specific areas that need extra attention.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your Session at Flourish
Your therapist will begin by discussing your goals and any areas of focus before you settle in on the massage table. The session uses smooth, intentional strokes — effleurage (long gliding), petrissage (kneading), and gentle tapotement (rhythmic tapping) — to work through the entire body in a cohesive, flowing sequence.
Sessions are available in 60- and 90-minute increments and can be combined with add-on modalities such as Hot Stones or Cupping for an even deeper experience. Light to medium pressure is the norm, but your therapist always welcomes your feedback throughout.
