WHAT IT IS
Specialized Bodywork for Every Stage of Pregnancy
Prenatal massage is a specialized therapeutic session designed to address the unique physiological and emotional needs of women during pregnancy. Offered by therapists trained in prenatal techniques, this service focuses on providing comfort, reducing common pregnancy discomforts, and promoting overall well-being for both mother and baby.
Prenatal massage is generally recommended after the first trimester (12+ weeks) and can be enjoyed safely and beneficially through the third trimester, right up until the due date. As always, we encourage consultation with your healthcare provider before beginning massage therapy during pregnancy.

SAFETY & POSITIONING
Your Comfort and Safety Come First
Client safety and comfort are the foundation of every prenatal session. The massage is performed with the client in a comfortable side-lying position, supported by soft, specialized cushions and bolsters. This positioning ensures no undue pressure on the abdomen and no restriction of circulation — creating an experience that is both deeply relaxing and fully secure.
Light to moderate pressure is used throughout. Deep tissue work on the abdomen and lower limbs — where certain pressure points are contraindicated during pregnancy — is carefully avoided.

TECHNIQUES USED
Gentle Methods, Profound Results
-
Effleurage (Long, Calming Strokes) - Gentle gliding strokes soothe the nervous system, increase blood flow, and create an overall sense of ease and connection throughout the body.
-
Petrissage (Gentle Kneading) - Careful kneading relieves muscle knots and tension in the back, glutes, and legs — areas that carry significant load during pregnancy.
-
Joint Mobilization - Gentle, careful mobilization of the hips and pelvis improves alignment and reduces the discomfort of sciatic pain and pelvic pressure.
Our therapists possess expert knowledge of pregnancy anatomy, contraindications, and safe positioning protocols — giving you the confidence to fully relax and receive.
